Best Foods
When eating a meal, the order in which you eat the food will have a
significant impact on your digestion and blood sugar/insulin response.
This may sound crazy, but eating your food in a specific order can reduce
insulin resistance and blood sugar spikes by as much as 80% during the
same meal eaten in a different order. This is important if you are insulin
resistant or diabetic. So very simply:
1) protein and fat, the meat, nuts, and seeds.
2) non-starchy veggies = salad, green beans, asparagus
3) fruit or sweet veggies
4) Until the above foods are nearly gone, save the potatoes, breads,
corn, peas, all starchy foods until the end of the meal.
This simple hack is a game changer for the way that your body will
interact with the food that you eat. Also lets talk smoothies. The key to
smoothies is balance. So whether it is a smoothie for additional protein, for
one of your meals, to supplement a meal, or to work out here are some
tips. Add a little fruit to help your body have the available enzymes,
vitamins and minerals to utilize the protein. It doesn’t matter what type of
protein is animal. The fruit will help it to be more fully utilized. The next is
spirulina, spinach, or dark greens for the micro-nutrients. Again, for
additional absorption of proteins. Good oil such as MCT (or coconut),
Avocado, or Olive. Use a liberal amount. Such as 2 tablespoons per 12 oz
of smoothie. It will slow down the processing of sugars and fructose in the
smoothie. You will have a lower blood sugar response, less chance of
insulin resistance, and the time period of the absorption of nutrients will be
increased. So you will feel satiated for a longer period of time. Two very
simple hacks.
The following are the lists of foods for each area of the body. Take
some notes from these sections of things you like, or want to try and start
tailoring your diet to include more natural and less processed forms of
foods. If you know you have an area that the body needs support use that
list the most. If you aren’t sure then try to incorporate a variety. But make
your shopping list from these lists.
When you go to the store, stay out of the: frozen, over-processed,
with preservatives, bad fats, and “God only knows what else” dead food
and junk food isles. You love yourself. You don’t shop in those sections
anymore. Your body is on your side, always has been, but now you are on
your body’s side. If you want change, you have to make changes. No
change + no change = no change. You have to do it differently than you
have been to be rewarded with different results.
The high appreciation you are discovering for your body’s unending
devotion to your health is no longer unnoticed. You eat Whole Foods now.
You buy alive foods now. This is who you are. You work hard for your
money. You are done wasting it on things your body has to fight to remove
from itself. You are strong enough. You can do it. Make a list and hit the
ball out of the park on this trip to the store. You’ve got this!

These consolidated lists will make it easy to select things supporting
your concerns. Again I want to encourage you to find organic in as much
as possible. When you can not bless the food before you eat it, instruct
your body to utilize what is beneficial and to allow the rest to pass through.
And always eat with love for the food. Enjoy eating, be grateful for the food
the sentient being grew for you (plant or animal), and in doing so you
elevate the cells of the food as you consume it. Find love for eating again if
you have lost it. And never, never, NEVER feel guilty about the food that
you eat. It destroys the good in the food that you could have lined up with
receiving. And it stagnates its passage through your body. Eat in love and
appreciation, and it will transform your relationship to food. And by
extension, your body as you are what you eat from your head down to
your feet!
